Default tax rate and a new Business settings tab

If every invoice in your business uses the same GST, PST, or sales tax rate, you should only need to enter it once. The new Business settings tab lets you set tax and document defaults that apply to everything you create.

What changed

• A new Business tab in Settings groups tax rate, default Terms and Conditions, and business metadata in one place.
• New quotes and invoices prefill the tax rate from this default.
• The default Terms and Conditions text appears on every new quote so you can stop pasting it in.

What to expect

• Existing quotes and invoices are not changed. The defaults only apply to new documents.
• You can still override the tax rate or terms on any individual quote or invoice when you need an exception.
