Separate billing addresses on clients
Clients can now have a billing address that is different from where the work is done. Useful for property management companies, landlords, and corporate clients.
Sometimes the address where you do the work is not the address where the bill should go. A property management company pays for service at a rental house from their head office. A landlord wants invoices sent to their accountant. Clients now support a separate billing address.
What changed
- A new Billing Address field on the client edit form, separate from the service property.
- Invoices and quotes use the billing address as the "Bill To" line by default.
- If no billing address is set, the existing behavior is preserved and the property address is used.
When to use it
- Property management or strata clients with a centralized accounting address.
- Commercial customers whose finance department is in a different office.
- Any client who has asked you to "send the invoice to a different address" and you have been jotting it down in notes.
